Pretty close to the mark on all points. Except Germany wasn't falling over from sustained punching, rather, Germany was punching hard at both France and Britain at the same time, when America stepped up and started punching Germany. Between the three of them they knocked Germany down, but not unconscious. While America and Britain held Germany down, France went through Germany's pocketses….
