Jacob Matthew, on April 26th (scheduled a week early), at 9 pounds 10 ounces and 21 1/4 inches. Mom, grandson and even the father are all doing well….

Thinking an army of clothespin soldiers with child safe paints are the way to go – soldiers and teething toys combined.

Congratulations to all concerned! The boy is lucky to have such a grandpa.

Awesome. Congrats to all. Will the clothes pins be historical or fantasy themed? :)

Cold Steel30 Apr 2016 9:14 a.m. PST

Congrats! Having grandkids is a lot better than having kids.

My g'son's crib is right next to soldier shelves.

When he stays over, I have to move them 'cause he is
REALLY interested !

When he's older, there are some old 30's with which he'll
be playing….

Thanks, all.

Anthon – Historical – I was considering AWI styled but may need to leave off the headgear and outline the arms rather than gluing/attaching additional bits.

As to Grandkids, my own children comment that "grandkids are allowed to do things we were never allowed." Somewhat overblown, but a bit of the truth to it…..

My grandsons turn 5 this summer. Time to dig out my old Arifix ACW and Wings of War planes.
