There is a sizable event going on at Ft Macon state park near Atlantic Beach, NC. Here are a list of events:
link The reenactments should be fun, especially with the four 32lbers and one 8 inch columbiad joining in the fracas. I hope some of you can attend. |

I'm in Texas, and I'll be at work. Bummer.  But, if you or any other TMPer is going, how about taking some pics and posting them here? Sounds like it's going to be fun for everyone!

Not this year, but seeing Fort Macon is on my bucket list.
Being a North Carolina native, its hard to believe that I never got the chance earlier. Hope the event is a great success. Good luck! |

This isn't from this weekend's reenactment but it's from the monthly shoot we do at the fort for the park service. It was th first time we fired the newly installed columbiad. youtu.be/qU7GdrLz3wU I'm the loader decked out as a confederate Marine in late war summer attire. |
