Looking for suggestions on books chronicling the Spanish conquistadores campaigns, conquests, and exploration of the Americas.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thx,
Mark

I've read mostly about the Spanish entradas into what is now the United States.

Duncan's De Soto: A Savage Quest in the Americas is up-to-date on archaeology and a great read:

Cabeza de Vaca's Narrative of the Narvaez Expedition is a first hand account:

Is pretty good. It covers a lot of the nitty gritty of the campaign, it is fairly balanced and well written.
