Russian Railroads is a very euro-gamey worker placement game where players compete against each other building railroads and industrializing Russia. Player attention is split between several tracks/rail lines that you can aim to complete as well as the industry track. There are some nice twists with randomized engineers that you can purchase or use throughout the game as well as a nice unlock function granting you bonuses and extra workers. We like the game a lot, though the heavy emphasis on scoring points each turn kind of detracts from the theme of the game more so than other games that I own in this genre (like Lords of Waterdeep).
