In an interview, Malofiy said the sanctions order "went absolutely against the weight of the evidence."

Translation: They didn't decide in my favour, so obviously, they don't understand my argument.

April's fool? It's worthy….

nazrat01 Apr 2016 6:25 a.m. PST

Led Zeppelin ripped off a LOT of other musicians along the way. I've listened to almost all the comparisons and the only one that I can't get on board with is this one. The Spirit song doesn't sound at ALL like Stairway to Heaven so there is no merit to this case. It's more that his greedy ass family is looking for a free payout. I hope they fail…

You can spend a pleasant hour on YouTube watching "Led Zrppelin Plagiarism" videos.
It's a long list.
Paige and Plante never felt the need to credit those they … paid tribute to.

Here's a bonus. "When the Levee Breaks". It's a GOAT, but not original. The original is pretty awful, and the Zeppelin is a 1000% upgrade, but still an uncredited ripoff. Any credit given was post facto and grudging.

And I agree with Nazrat about Stairway. One or two notes, if you strain at it.
But the rest of their catalog…..

Better looking than Page or Plant…

Page, definitely, no gurning, duckwalking or similar showboating.

Plant, No. You're comparing a good looking woman to a rock God in his prime. Sexual attraction is one thing, looking good is something else.

If Vanilla Ice can get away with ripping off Queen, there is no justice

RavenscraftCybernetics02 Apr 2016 11:01 a.m. PST

no peas no
just ice

nazrat02 Apr 2016 6:47 p.m. PST

Um, Vanilla Ice most certainly did NOT get away with anything. He paid Queen a substantial amount of money and had to give both them and David Bowie writer's credit. So there WAS justice!

RavenscraftCybernetics03 Apr 2016 2:01 p.m. PST

no peas tho.
