The water feature is nine years old this coming July 4th (the day I first turned it on). Since then, the pump has been replaced twice. The first one lasted twice as long as the second one: the water feature was completely clean and spanking new, so that was the biggest difference. So! I first cleaned out the "pond", right down to the rubber liner. Lots of accumulated muck, as you can imagine. If this pump lasts longer than the c. three years of the last one, I will be gratified. But I won't hold my breath….
