Played Pandemic with a friend last night. We played as a team but set up for a 4 player game – the only difference was we put each team member's cards in front of them. Starting with a brilliant deal, and luck meaning things happened at just the right time, we beat the game with relative ease. This was a problem because I had been saying how it can quickly spiral out of control! Mind you this is the man who is famous for his lucky dice, and rolling impossible shooting and saves dice, so it might be him! |

Have you tried Pandemic Legacy? That may provide more of a challenge… |

My group found it challenging at times. I think some character combinations are more effective than others. Keep in mind we're only a 3-player group. |

I've always found it a struggle – the players usually lose. its just the one time it is a perfect game for the players is the time I am showing it to someone! |

If you do not mind a fantasy flavour Defenders of the realm is a great alternative and challenge compared to Pandemic.
As mentioned here, if you get a good run in one of these co-op games savour the moment as they are normally hard earned .
At least the good die rolls from you lucky talisman co-player were not against you in some other game. |

…is the time I am showing it to someone! Is probably a good thing. A first debacle can kill any replay from a first timer. Depending on the person, sometimes you have 'to let the Wookie win…' As for eating your words, wouldn't have been the first time for me! ;->= Doug |

my family has played it several times and we have never lost. I have not found it to be much of a challenge really. |

If you only play Pandemic with four Epidemics, yes, it is easy. Play the game with 5 or 6 Epidemics for a much harder time. Glutton for punishment? Play with all 7 Epidemics. |
