Just discovered it on Netflix. There's no depth in it (ie you don't really care about any of the characters & the story lines are just vehicles for the gags) but as a screwball comedy it's pretty good. |

"Is it as good as Police Squad?" No, some funny moments but, you cant really connect to the characters, and some of them (the main guy, and the captains assistant, can be just annoying). Worth a watch if there's nothing else on but I don't bother to record it if I'm out. Cheers Roger. |

Go instead and see the wonderful movie Brooklyn that has been nominated for The Academy Award for Best Picture . It is an Irish/Canadian co production about the life of a young Irish Immigrant in the Brooklyn of the 1950s.
Saoirse Ronan plays the young girl and is outstanding as well as cute |
