Switzerland, Florida??????? Went to visit my Dad down by Jacksonville and drove through the town of Switzerland, Fl. Flat as a pancake. The 'Swiss Alpine Groves' was a bunch of scrub pine and the trees the paper companies plant for newsprint. I think it was settled by some disgruntled Swiss dairy farmer who told himself 'If I have to climb the d*** mountain one more time because that cow is lost, we're going to eat hamburger until we run out and then I'm going to find the flattest, warmest place I can and move there.' |
