I think this is a first. Normally we only get to see these as half-eaten carcasses that wash ashore. Of course, this juvenile was swimming somewhere he doesn't belong, so he might not be typical – he might be just confused, or maybe he's sick or somehow defective. We shouldn't assume he's a typical specimen. But he's the best we have! Or she. |
