Oscar-nominated actor Robert Loggia, who was known for gravelly voiced gangsters from "Scarface" to "The Sopranos" but who was most endearing as Tom Hanks' kid-at-heart toy-company boss in "Big," has died. He was 85…

One of his earliest movie appearances was in a Cold War-era flick entitled 'The Lost Missile', which can be seen at the link below:

I really like and still remember this cool little commercial from 1998 that featured Mr. Loggia:

His last film credit is listed as ''Sicilian Vampire', which was released about a month ago. He was greatness.

Godspeed, Mr. Loggia, and thank you very much.

One of those great character actors. Immediately recognizable on sight but often with the name unknown for many. Rest in peace sir. Thanks for the entertainment.

Terrement, we share the same memories. Every time I saw him afterward..I always mentioned or said..there's El Fuego Bacca or T.H.E. Cat! Some great shows and a great actor.

I remember him from El Fuego Baca and thoroughly enjoyed his many "bad guys." My favorite one was as the Mafioso turned vampire when a French vamp who only drained criminals was interrupted at her feast. A different turn was as the dancing toy magnate in "Big." Thanks for the good work Mr. Loggia and RIP.

Necessary Roughness (GREAT role as asst head f'ball coach)

Thanks, sir, and RIP
