Shoes and stockings in her hand and her feet all over the floor.
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
I'll marry you someday!

Pretty good version by the 2nd South Carolina String Band.

I have that version, on an old cassette tape. Has the 2nd SC re-released their recordings on CD?

She took me to her chamber, she cooled me with her fan,
She said I was the prettiest thing in the shape of a mortal man!
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
I'll marry you someday!

Think it was sung by Ricky Nelson, Dean Martin and maybe Walter Brennan on chorus in one of the John Wayne westerns the name of which escapes me.

Ricky Nelson, Dean Martin, Walter Brennan. What a trio. Of cowboys.

She went up on the mountain, she hollered down the hill,
And every time she said, "I won't!", her echo said, "I will!"
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
I'll marry you someday!

My Cindy got religion, she shouted all around,
She got so full of glory that she shook her girdle down!
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
I'll marry you someday!

My Cindy had twin babies, they were born on Christmas Day,
She bashed one in with a bottle of gin, but the little one got away!
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
Get along home, Cindy, Cindy,
I'll marry you someday!
