The family and I are headed to Tokyo next Spring (late March). Looking for insight/suggestions on where to stay?

Criteria:

  • Close to the subway
  • Lodging for 3 adults (me, wife, daughter who is 13 going on 30)
  • In a nice walkable area (don't want to be on a highway, but it doesn't need to be 5th Avenue either)
  • Private bath
  • Amenities (pool, gym, spa, etc.)
  • Comfortable – we are NOT "roughing it" travelers.

Currently looking online at a few hotels in Shinjuku/Western Tokyo

Suggestions on where to eat and what to see also welcomed!

Thanks in advance.

"Private bath"

be sure to also check for 'western style toilets'

Well, looking at the Hilton, the IMperial and a few others so I assume toilets are pretty much a given…

Don't overlook the Mothra Motel.
