Yep..it will eat your soul. Then you will move on to more complex voxelish games like Planet Explorers and 7 Days to Die. I can recommend both…but they will eat your free time as well.

I think mine craft is the equivalent of Legos but in cyberspace. My son plays it every chance he can.

Cloudcapt, what have you done?

Oh cool, I'll have to start playing Minecraft too, so I'll have an excuse for not getting anything painted.

My kids love it. Mainly they like building. The violent old git that I am, I occasionally play survival mode. They prefer creative.

After wasting 4 ours that I really can't afford, I quickly gave it up. That was January I think.

I recall a simpler time when I looked at Minecraft and wondered what the appeal of a goofy looking pixelated game could possibly be.

Then I started playing… how the time does pass.

I enjoy playing it with my kid split screen, since we can just build stuff and have a good time.

The only other game we both play is Destiny and we can't play at the same time there.

Probably not something I ever want to play on my own, but it's easy to see why it's so appealing.

…Space Program

My daughter would probably love it and even my son would like building the rockets. No need to unleash it on them though. They have a fine game in Minecraft right now.
