Okay…finally have a new computer, I'd like to download DosBox to a Windows 8.1 platform…where is the best place to go for step by step instructions, etc. I WANT to play Fantasy General! |

Andrew, dosbox.com should have everything you need, including a tutorial (I haven't looked at it in a very long time). I don't have win 8.1, though my wife does. The Win 8.1 compatibility site has some varying opinions on compatiblity, but mostly favourable. There's no discussion there, though. link I'd just go to the first site, download the latest and give it a go. Good luck. -- Tim |

I am not sure on the compatibility to Windows 8 but I use D-Fend Reloaded, a graphical front end program for DosBox. I forgot all my Dos training and find that this an easy to use program for all your old Dos games. dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net Terry |
