I game i played well over a year ago then forgot about until I watched the road to eldorado Yesterday.
Its and historic crpg with tactical combat.
You are an conquistador in the new world, early 1500s. You travle around central and south America. make a party, they can be soldiers, healers. Some have mele weapons others have arkebuses ect. You set out to exlore, you have a given number of movement points pr day, you need food and other suplies. And you do quests. Some are given by the spanish leaders, others you discover by your self.
You are free to choose what kind of man you want to be. Do you want to be a good man helping those in need follow the teachings of Christ. Or a mad man only concerned with gold and power.
All you companions, have their goals too.
One of my priests was a Bastard, i helped some natives, and he was furious, how I could help heathens like that, while another priest I had, chastised me when I didn't give enough of my money to help a village. One of my soldiers was a psychopath, taking joy from anybody he could kill. he didn't care for money or power just liked to kill and be evil.
The tactical combat is done on hex based maps, ala xcom.
You fight, animals, natives, and Europeans. Arkebuses, bows, blow darts, helbredes, swords, axes even cannons are there, totaly free equipment ala xcom or rainbow six, you can buy or find better armor and weapons. Give new skills to your companions.
Very cool game.
