A position as a Special Agent with the FBI is not just a job — it's a calling, and ultimately a life-changing experience. Special Agents are elite, and so are the prospects who desire to join our ranks.

We are seeking the following professionals:

• Certified Public Accountants (CPAs)
• Attorneys
• Computer Scientists, IT Network Administrators, Intrusion Specialists
• Engineers
• Detectives
• Scientists (Laboratory)
• Military (specifically Special Forces, Explosives, Weapons of Mass Destruction-WMD, and Intelligence experts)
• Foreign Language(s) Speakers (particularly Spanish, Chinese (all dialects), Arabic (all dialects), Urdu, Pashtu, Punjabi, Russian, Farsi, Somali and more)
• Pilots (Helicopter, Fixed-Wing)

Applicants for the Special Agent position should be in excellent physical condition. Please do not apply if you are unable to pass our rigorous Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

For more information, read the Special Agent Information Package before submitting your application.

I think the Secret Service may be looking for some new folks as well.

Isn't that the premise of Scorpion?

I hear on Criminal Minds the writers are thinking about sending the Fat Chick on a field mission with the Popular Kids.

FBI hiring *detectives* ?

As opposed to uniformed LEOs.

When I were 't lad, the FBI was one of the agencies that was keen on my language skills. The recruiting guy told me that I was fortunate as, outside of the "lab rats", they almost exclusively took accountants, lawyers, and experienced detectives.

Actually, I know a lot of those folks who could pass the FBI PFT … not me as I don't run anymore since I had my leg ripped off and reattached.

And while they will be required to qualify with a sidearm, they generally won't carry one. And despite what the TV/movies show, if you haven't used one in a while and don't have current training in tactics, they won't hand you one and say, "Well, you qualified on the range, didn't you?"

So, what's funny about the FBI hiring people? You know, the clone vats take so long to make new agents …

The FBI was recruiting graduates at my law school when I was there. I spoke to the agent and he said they were specifically looking for attorneys and accountants at the time. My cousin joined up and is now an agent handling spy cases.
