John William Waterhouse, The Lady of Shalott, 1892 I was going through the images I have saved on my computer, and it occurred to me that I have a lot of Victorian art. Most of the works I have saved were executed between 1870 and 1910. I also have a lot of art books (not enough!) and counted ten that are specifically Victorian or Edwardian. There is a distinct bias towards mythological and Medieval themes. So, does anyone else have a preference for a particular period of art? Ron |

Any period where people looked like people, instead of a lampstand. |

4th period, 8th grade. There was this really cute girl in the class whom I had a huge crush on, and… Oh, that's not what you meant? |

Easier to identify periods (and artists) I dislike. Have a wide scope of art I like, but no one in particular. Speaking of art, I am still on my quest for the Holy Grail of artwork, which is a black velvet painting of the dogs playing poker with Elvis, Martin Luther King Jr. and Willie Nelson. If anyone has any leads, let me know, but I have my answers for when asked "What is your quest?" |

I'm a fan of Impressionist art myself. I also like the works of Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. |

I like the Dutch masters best. But I do have a soft spot for Bosch. |
