I don't know if its a Windows setting or a Chrome one, but when ever I open a new tab (not a 'open link in new tab') it plays an annoying sound, like flat note on a piano.

How do I stop it – I've been through Sound on Windows Control Panel, and it doesn't appear to be any of those events.

my chrome doesnt make any sounds.
have you looked in windows accessibility under the control panel?
