Not a novel but this is well worth a watch if you are looking for something a little avant garde :

"The Devil on the Road" by Robert Westall – YA fiction/timeslip story, which she might find useful.

On the contrary side – A field in England is a terrible, terrible, and let's not beat around the bush, really terrible film.

D6 Junkie : You have Witchfinder General on DVD of course ?

Not during the ECW, but the Soloman Kane books by Robert E. Howard are pretty good. If she has a e-reader Gutenburg Australia has them for free.

+1 to the Solomon Kane recommendation, technically about 50-60 years before the ECW but no practical difference. SK is my favourite of Howard's characters. There's also a not very good (IMHO) SK movie available, but I really wouldn't recommend it for anyone's first exposure to Kane.

There's also Howard's Dark Agnes stories, also a few years before the ECW (and in France) and not horror, but good stuff.

While good stories, be aware that most of the Soloman Kane stories are set in Africa, so not in an ECW setting.

Here's one specifically set in the ECW. I haven't read it & nor anything else by the author, so have no idea how good or bad it is.

There's also the Witch Hunter series from the Games Workshop Black Library

They're set in Warhammer fantasy world, but they definitely about Witch Hunting & were pretty good if I remember right.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the suggestions.
She's seen the Vincent Price movie, big fan, and loves Solomon Kane.
