Like half of London I went up to see the installation at the Tower this weekend [despite the warnings to stay away!]. Some photos can be found on my blog here…

If you get a chance to go and see it before it's dismantled after the 11th try and go…it's very impressive and powerful.

The critic wanted more focus on the horror of war. To me, the poppies represent the beauty of the individuals and the presentation reinforces the staggering loss to the nation of all that potential. A good way to represent the cost of war, in my amateur appreciation of art.
