We are having our annual Halloween Hayride next weekend. The event shies away from the traditional supernatural theme and instead focuses on a more historical theme highlighting all the terrible things that happened to people in Western Pa in the 18th century.
Not that it isn't fun! We will have a small pox camp, a skirmish between British and Native Americans in the woods, a medical tent and more. There will be tours of the museum included and if the weather permits we will have a star gazing party after with our museum archaeologist.
There will be concessions on site as well.
Reservations are being taken for seats now and it is filling up. The ride is about 30 minutes long and wagons leave every 20 minutes between 7 and 10 p.m. that night inclusive.
It is $8 USD for adults and $5 USD for children 5-12.
If you are in the Pittsburgh area it is certainly worth a trip out to have a fun Halloweeny Saturday night and help keep the museum open.
