Since my daughter moved away, I no longer have a line in IT person to help me with technical issues. How can I burn a DVD from a YouTube video? Is there some special software I need? Can I get it free, without malware?

Thanks.

Try this Java based one. Gets good reviews on a reputable open source site:

Thank you cloudcaptain, I don't know how I did it, but somehow I managed.

Crap. I have a Mac, and when I try to download this, I get a pop-up message:

"runytd2.jar can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

"Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers."

Whose damn computer is this, anyway??? Mine or the Apple corporation?

Hmmm. Sounds like something I could use too.

There are various things on filehippo that are free and legal. Most browsers offer downloading apps. You may need a dvd burner program. They would have those on filehippo.
I just use windows media it does pretty much everything.
