Will be in the Dallas-Ft Worth area next week. Any good game stores? What is there for the wife to do while I'm job hunting? |

I can't think of any gaming stores off the top of my head. For your wife (and you, too!), there's PLENTY to see and do. GrapeFest 2014/The Grapevine Wine Festival in Grapevine; September 11-14: link Many shopping malls in the area, including the Galleria in Dallas, Grapevine Mills in Grapevine, and The Parks at Arlington in Arlington: link Dallas has the West End…: dallaswestend.org …while Fort Worth has its Cultural District, as well as the historic Stockyards (home to the world famous Billy Bob's Texas): fwculture.com fortworthstockyards.org billybobstexas.com And Fort Worth is home to the Coyote Drive-In Theatre, which opened last year and is the first "ozoner" operating in Cowtown in twenty years!: coyotedrive-in.com So, you two should stay fairly busy while here. Hope y'all have a GREAT time while visiting! |

Texas Toy Soldier is in Dallas. And there's a pretty good flight museum at Love Field-Frontiers of Flight, I believe it's called. |

Texas Toy Soldier store is Dallas (I think in the Plano/Richardson area) and the Reaper Miniatures storefront (The Asylum) is in Denton. |

I was there in 1982. there was not a single gaming store. I've never gone back. |

I found a nice little comic shop in Grapevine that had a good array of gaming stuff – SAGA, Perry plastics, some Crusader stuff and the usual fantasy and collectible minis stuff. No idea what the name of the place was though – ran into it completely by accident last year |

In 1982 either the Royal Guardsman and/or the Armadillo Toy Soldier would have been around. You just didn't see them. |
RavenscraftCybernetics | 07 Sep 2014 11:06 a.m. PST |
they werent in the phonebook then. I searched for days. its not the only reason ive avoided going back but it ranks high. |

The Royal Guardsman was probably in the phone book under Heritage USA. Dunno why the Armadillo Soldier shop wasn't there but it might have been between incarnations in 1982. Dallas isn't my favorite place either (which is one of the many reasons I live in Austin instead). |
