The usual suspects are whining about a comic book cover: link

Because it's obviously a sexist pose that no male hero would ever be given…

Oh, really?

Looks pretty much like the same pose to me, allowing for different artists.

Or how about this cover, from back in the '80s?

Whoa! Close your legs, Parker!

So this seems like a controversy just to declare a controversy (or a clever way to get guys to buy the comic so they can spite the controversy… naw, that wouldn't happen wink).

And, frankly, I don't find the Spiderwoman pose to be all that titillating… and I'm very much a healthy, heterosexual male. She doesn't look sexy to me, she just looks kinda weird…

Well, my initial impression was that she was naked, because of the color of her costume. That doesn't help.

Gives new meaning to the term "power bottom".

She apparently needs to fumigate her armpits.
There are webs growing there.

Or… maybe she's from eastern Europe?

Some folks just gotta fuss… I imagine there are some as are actually offended by comic book art. But those are almost certainly folks as wouldn't buy a comic in the first place.
Of course, there is the phony controversy idea…

That is quite a cleft, though.

Spinal Tap comes to mind. 'It's a fine line between genius and stupidity.'

Marvel launched a new comic, but it had nothing to differentiate it. So they made an alternative cover and now everybody is talking about it, mission accomplished …

What do you expect, when you get Milo Manada to draw it? He's an erotic artist, this is exactly the sort of art he produces. They obviously wanted a cover like this to get attention.

I can't get myself to care.

Aside from the fact that the costume is apparently either sprayed on or glued to her (otherwise the cloth should bridge those hollows along and at the base of the spine).

Obviously this wasn't based on real world observations of the clothed female body…

P.S. But then the other covers have similar flaws.
