Not a good week for favorite celebrities, She was the namer of the rat pack with her love being the "King Rat."

Rest in peace Ms Bacall. I've enjoyed your movies, especially those with Mr Bogart.

Fabulous career. You gotta go sometime. She's only one year older than my mom….

Man I am bummed first Robin Williams and now Ms. Becall.

My favorite line of hers is from To Have and Have not and is listed as #37 of the top movie quotes of all time.

Slim: "Okay. You know you don't have to act with me, Steve. You don't have to say anything and you don't have to do anything. Not a thing. Oh, maybe just whistle. [She opens his door and pauses] You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together – and blow."

I think I will be pulling out all my Bogart DVD's this week. Here is to you Lauren Bacall.

Uniquely beautiful and for a slim girl, she had a nice little figure…and I forget which movie (1st one w/Bogie, Martinique?), but she knew how to swivel those snake hips too.

A very classy woman in so many ways.

One of the great and notable actresses of the 20th Century from the "Golden Age of Hollywood", once married to two of my favorite actors, Humphrey Bogart and Jason Robards. She lived a long and productive life.

Speaking of "Bogie", Ms. Bacall's passing immediately reminded me of an old Bugs Bunny cartoon entitled "Slick Hare", which was released in November of 1947. Most of us here will remember it when we see it; I remember seeing it often on a local tv station's mid-afternoon program called 'Cartoon Carnival' back in the early- to mid-'70s, and below is a link to it. Now, how many real-life celebrities could ever say that they "co-starred" with Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd?! thumbs up :

Also, I found a couple of stills from the cartoon. The first one is a screen grab, while the second pic is a collectible reproduction that was approved by the Bogart estate and was signed by Bacall:

Godspeed, Ms. Bacall, and thank you very, very much.

A classic cartoon.

Even as a kid, I was amazed that Looney Tunes could get all this great stars of old movies to "appear" in their cartoons. When I got older, and realized they were all WB stars, it all made sense.

And at times, the staff of "Termite Terrace"(the animation dept. at Warner Bros.)were in the act.
