I've never played the computer version of WoT. I have just started playing the app version on my IPad the past couple weeks (addicted, yes), and I have a couple questions. First, what do the "Ping" in the lower left of the screen, and the "FPS" in the lower right of the screen indicate? Secondly, why do vehicle icons/names turn blue sometimes? Best I can infer is that they mark folks who have friendly fired, is that correct? Thanks in advance, and see you on the battlefield! |

Well first FPS stands for First Person Shooter The Ping is what is used to show just how well your system is handling the game. High Ping = very bad Second the reason the vehicle Icon turns Blue is that individual just killed a friendly (I.E. Teammate). Once they turn Blue they are fair game. You want to shoot the Reds You don't want to shoot the Greens You can shoot the Blues |

Assume though that the "blue" killed a team mate by accident and killing him will weaken your team even more. Ignore him and fight to win. FPS may be "frames per second" as both that and PING are shown on the PC game. Dan |

Thanks for the answers guys. Dan, I think you've got it with the FPS since it's followed by a number which fluctuates. So far haven't killed any blues or been blue myself. Though there are some folks who seem to love to drive right between me and the target I'm shooting at and then stopping, right as I am pushing the fire button, and they end up taking an unintended shell to the back of the turret. :-P |

Actually FPS stands for Frames per second which is a measure of how well the game is working on your device as Dan Cyr mentions. The higher the FPS the better. You can shoot someone who turns blue but its generally not a good idea unless they are being a #$*%! and continuing to act against your team. |

Ping actually refers to the quality of your internet connection (and/or how well the game's servers are handling their load), it specifically measures the delay in sending/receiving data. Lower numbers are better, as higher ping can cause lag. |
