Jareth, the Goblin King! I usually hate fan art, but this was too cool. |

Probably would mean more to me if I knew who the guy was. |

David Bowie is the actor. You know him. The character is from the Jim Henson film Labyrinth in the 1980s, featuring a young Jennifer Connelly in the lead role as a teen who wishes her annoying younger brother would disappear, and thereby inadvertently gives him to the Goblin King (Bowie). She must then journey into the strange world of the goblins to rescue the boy. imdb.com/title/tt0091369 Now you know who the guy is. |

I'd rather see Bowie on the throne in his 1980's Floor Show garb. |

Goblins have been given a bad rap by human centric historians, sez I. |

Probably would mean more to me if I knew who the guy was. So why comment? |

Pretty cool. Forwarded it to some Bowie/Labyrinth fans. |

In a moment of dyslexia I read the title of this thread a bit differently. Add an h after the s in sit and you will know what I thought I read. Anyway, yes the photo with Bowie on the throne is pretty cool. Labyrinth is one of my all time favs. |

@whitemanticore
I didn't make the mistake, but "throne" threw me off. "Iron throne" sounds a little uncomfortable for taking care of necessities. I love the Labyrinth move. What's the chair from? |

Game of Thrones Whitemanticore, that's a fairly common reaction, given the proximity of the /sh/ and /s/. There's a linguistic term for it that I can't recall or be bothered to look up. Also, here's Jennifer Connelly in Labyrinth to make us feel old.

Parzival, Ahh, now I know. Thanks you. Never saw the movie. |

I remember falling in love with Jennifer Connelly when this movie first premiered. And she has gotten more lovely since. And yes I feel old now. |
