My son is marrying his Dutch fiancé in August. While we are there, I will have two days to spare. We will be based in Maastricht. I was thinking about driving the market Garden route, seeing Waterloo and the Mons battle field. Any other suggestions? |

The National War and Resistance Museum of the Netherlands (Dutch: Nationaal Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum) is located at Overloon, municipality Boxmeer. The museum is located on the site of the Battle of Overloon, a World War II tank and infantry battle between Allied and German forces that occurred in September and October 1944, in the aftermath of Operation Market Garden. |
