I enjoyed it also.

Enjoyable but not fantastic . I watched it a couple times

It wasn't horrible. Helen Mirren with a gun (or two) is always fun.

I watched it on HBO. I mirror ming31's sentiment, it was enjoyable but not fantastic. RIPD on the other hand, stunk on ice.

I liked all the background and side characters more than the main plot.

I thought Mary-Louise Parker's character was just boring.

I have a soft spot for Ivan and Victoria

Ivan: [noticing her shoeless foot] Ah, there is nothing more sexy in the whole world than a beautiful woman with an incredible gun.

Victoria: [taking out soldiers with scoped rifle] You're such a romantic.

Ivan: I love the way your toes curl right before you fire.

Victoria: Hopeless.

Ivan: [sniffs her boot] Oh!

It was OK, but the first one was better.

Helen Mirren with a Browning M2, for one thing.

And "I'm getting the pig!"

All the best,

John.

Liked both movies a lot. The characters were fun (even MLP!) and the action was at the right level…not too over the top.

I just didn't understand how it followed on from Reds. I guess people want different things in movies after three decades.

Fast paced, great casting and actors for the most part, great script, was entirely enjoyable, consider that the last "9mm" action film I watched was Diehard 2 in theaters like 30 years ago before watching the RED franchise.

The original was far better, IMO.

Getting tired of that Mary Louise Parker. She gets annoying pretty quick.

Anthony Hopkins was awful, (doing his same character stereotype ala Al Pacino, but Hopkins acts like he is serious) and ruined everything (him and that prerequistite "Karate Asian Guy" required in all movies nowadays). The "World's Best Contract Killer"? The Korean Will Smith. :)

They should have done more with the first bad guy. That white haired, CIA dude who was trying to erase everything was awesome. He should have been THE bad guy, not Odin, or Hannibal, or whatever the Hell that clown was aping.
