I put together a quick review of Small World, a easy to learn/easy to play boardgame from Days of Wonder (makers of Ticket to Ride).

Small World has players fight over a tiny continent using weird fantasy race + trait combinations such as Seafaring Ratmen, Merchant Ghouls and Dragonmaster Halflings.

The interesting aspects of the game are the customized boards that allow you to play 2-5 players, a vast number of race+trait combos to keep things fresh and the requirement of spreading out across the board as fast as possible with your current race – have it go into decline – and pick a new new combination which provides an interesting ebb and flow during the game.

Check out the full review and pictures of the game over at my blog:

Indeed, I have it on my phone and play it regularly on the train to work.

Stenic – what size screen do you have? How easy is it to play on a phone?
