Three years after his announcement that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's:

Lots of great songs and memories, including his CBS show 'The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour' and his signature greeting "Hi! I'm Glen Campbell!".

I remember one particular time around 1971 or '72 that my sister and a friend of hers had tickets to go see him at a concert, and I seem to remember her taking a frosted bundt cake with her in the hope of giving it to him personally. I have no idea if she ever did.

He's still with us, but Godspeed, Glen.

Sad indeed. A great artist.

He was / is one of my favorites. His condition has been steadily declining for a while now.

Makes me fearful that someday one of my loved ones or myself may go down that road.

Good memories all around.

It's a rough way to go. Much worse for the family than for him. Very sad. I too enjoyed his music back in the say. Rhinestone Cowboy would still hold up by today's standards.

Heartbreaking.

It is sad but has probably happened to more celebrities than we know. Campbell seems to have been an "up front" guy and was about this as well. Best wishes for him and his family.

Very sad day. My family used to love his show The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour.

We never missed any of his TV appearances when I was a kid. Wonderful performer!

Music was great as was his on stage personality (Liked his acting in the original True Grit).

Hope this time of his life will be peaceful for him.
