This game is awesome.

But then I never played the first two.

The first two are old school RTS, while this is turne based 4X.

The game got a good campgain, coop, custom senerioues, random maps. Lots of races, like orcs, goblins, elves, humans, dwarfs ect.

Not only do you have diffrent races, but diffrent classes, that give diffrent spells and units. you build cites, take over cities, create new cities.

The game was kinda Marketed/talked about as a fantacy Civ 5.

But really it's more like Heroes of miight and magic 2/3 with just a sprinkle of Civ 5.

I have not enjoyed this type of game as much since Heroes 3!

I loved the first two AoW games and have been excited about this one. I have a Mac at the moment so will not be getting it for a while, unfortunately.

Good to hear, that AoW III lives to expectations, I liked first 2. Might be something that will take me back from MMORPGs….:)

This got pointed out to me by roommate #2, who doesn't PLAY games as much as he watches videos of other people playing games, but I digress.

IMO the game is well-paced and the turn based battle are very satisfying…Just be warned: this game will give you the itch to dig out our old warhammer stuff…

It will also teach you not to build out to quickly as well.

I have to raze one of my own cities since one of the AI's casted a spell that causes rebels to generate from it.

So while this was happening the Goblin Ally of that AI sucked right by and took my main city.

Oh they won't hold it for long but that does cause me to fall back and take it back.

Loving the game so far.

Oh the only other game that I found that could keep you on your toes was the first Warlords game.

My advisors did tell me that the other players would be greatly upste if I razed that city.

Oh they were so right.

I razed it because I could not keep it out of the hands of another AI player, so wanting to create a buffer zone I burnt it to the ground.

Well that turn all of the other players against me and they just swarmed all over my cities.

I lost everything but still had a small force that I moved off to a small area of the map and took the unclaimed city that was there.

Was hoping to build back up and expand.

But they found me first.

That was a great game.
