I'm just coming to the end of reading my way through Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Stories series (just the Pagan Lord to go). I enjoy the style of these books and wondered if there was anything out there in a similar style but set in WW2 that anyone could recommend?

Thanks Jon

Jack Higgins perhaps?

You're probably best looking at the Commando comics.

The "Jack Tanner" series by James Holland. First one based on Norway, second Dunkirk. About 5 so far, but that's as far as I've got.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I've ordered a Jack tanner off Amazon to give it a try.
