This is a follow up from the recent story about "Fairness"….All disclaimers apply….

Sooooooo….

Plant Manager (Texas guy that he is)…let everyone known…"What Corp thinks and what WE do are two different things." He said that he knows that we won it…don't worry about it….do the best you can do…

Then he bought the entire plant lunch….Granted it was Indianas version of BBQ…which being a fellow Texan I just looked at him and smirked…and he said "Yeah I know…"…

Good guy my PM is….

Pass the hat and buy that man a new pair of boots. Wait, do they sell boots up there?

Bill Rosser Supporting Member of TMP23 Jan 2014 12:55 p.m. PST

Boot City, just north of Sullivan IN (south of Terre Haute, IN).

Can't let executive droppings spoil the well. Keep the productive troops happy and productive.

Smart PM.

He's a good PM. Reinforce that. Keep him happy!

Now that is a refreshing story. You can send him up to our plant maintenance department if he wants a change of scenery, we need someone like that desperately.

Sounds like you're working for a good guy. Good for you and good for him.

Tom Bryant24 Jan 2014 12:05 a.m. PST

BRAVO ZULU to the PM, and everyone there. He's one of the good ones. We need a couple million more like him in management, or as I sometimes refer to it, "manglement".

Confusing post title for a Brit. I thought you had friends in high places for a moment!

PM stands for Prime Minister…….

Now *that* guy is a manager (as differed from an
administrative flunky who can't do without The Book).
