Hi.

I am not sure if this is the right board or indeed allowed here but here goes.
If this is not allowed then I understand if the post is deleted.

My wife has written CVs for people in a professional capacity for years.
Being ex-police she has an interest in helping people from a similar background find work in the private sector.

As many will know, being an ex-copper or an ex-soldier is a negative trait when it comes to employment for many employers.
They fail to see how someone with that sort of background can be of commercial value.
My wife understands this and can help tailor a CV to make what they see as negative traits become very valuable skills.

Anyway, this is a plug for her new Ebay store, where she also now sells CVs.

I trust this is ok and that people take the post as what it is meant to be.
An announcement that may well benefit many TMP members.

Michael.

Good luck to her. As someone who is ex-military with 20+ years in the staffing industry, I've found promoting the "soft skills" that military (and in many respects the police) teach helps the vet.

Good luck.
Here in the States many government contractors are hiring if you have the right credentials.

Coming from the private sector, I found these doors shut to me whereas an ex military person have a better chance.

Depends on the skill sets.
