I just saw this on the news, and it got me mad. An online store called KlearGear imposed a fine on a couple who posted a negative review. link This is definitely harassment. I'm glad someone stepped in on the couple's behalf. I hope the couple gets every penny they're suing for. Don't expect me to place an order from that company. |

When I originally read this elsewhere, I'm sure it said one of the couple had bouht te item whilst the other one filed the review, so I was never certain how there could have been a breach in the first place. Certainly not a company to do business with. |

Our corporate rulers will not tolerate dissent. You will not speak ill of the product. All praise the product! |

The product is double plus good. Even if they don't send it to you. |

Thanks for the heads up. Companies like this make my trigger finger itch. |

From what I've heard the company got in trouble with the Better Business Bureau for falsely claiming they had an A+ rating on their website. |

They should have given a positive product review like this one on Amazon: This review is from: Barrettine Methylated Spirit 500ml (Misc.) From the moment you remove the cap you realise you're in for a treat. Fresh, bright, smoky, with a mineral edge and rounded, fruity nose. Midweight and bold, possessing some edge and no little bite, yet remaining smooth, balanced and satisfying. This is a drink to enjoy with friends in a park. Highly recommended. link |

Hard to give a positive review when you never receive your order. |

I can't believe that the company was able to file the debt with the credit agencies without any actual evidence of an obligation. Does anyone know what the criterion for that is? |

Credit agencies seem to have little to no controls, and are horrible at correcting mistakes, apparently, based upon a number of in depth stories I've seen about them on the news. |

I wonder what it would take to have a class action suit against them? Not only are individuals harmed, but pretty much anyone in the market is harmed when someone is denied resources based on false information

Theoretically, if the report they made was factual, the company won't have a leg to stand on. However, court cases, and judges/juries are more like crap shoots than fair hearings, based upon my observations. |
