We're just at the half way point of the semester. And everything is going along swimmingly:
One prof fired for threatening the life of a student.
Another fired (same department) for spitting on all his co-workers at a department meeting.
The director of student housing has been "moved to another department" after allegations of sexual misconduct involving several female students.
The 5 million dollar "University Townhouses" project has already surpassed that mark and they've only completed the concrete and framing portions.
Allegations of school officials manipulating elections for both unions on campus. (CSEA and UUP) both of which now have very management friendly Boards.
The employee who, less than a year and a half ago, got busted for using $60,000 USD of school money for home improvement, and then got busted down from a grade 19 to a grade 9 is back up to a grade 15. Even though part of his "punishment" included a statement about no promotions for 3 years.
The president has created 4 new $100,000 USD a year jobs for friends managing things that already had managers, meanwhile there are 22 unfilled positions in Facilities Services because there's no money for them.
FSA (Faculty Student Association) who's in charge of all food services on campus. Anything food related done on campus has to go through them, "dining centers", vending machines, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and all catered events. Is loosing $250,000 USD a semester.
And somehow there is $5 USDmillion "unaccounted for" in the new $60 USDmillion Science Building.
And just for 's and giggles they are making the entire campus smoke free as of Jan 1st
