The museum has been closed by creditors and the contents are being sold at auction on Wed. Aug. 21. Lots of WW2 artifacts and some WW1 items, too. Here's a link to the auction house.

link

One of the items is a 7-foot model of the USS Missouri (lot #100). Too bad the high bid is already up to $600. USD There doesn't seem to be any way to find specific items. I've been scrolling through everything in lot number order.

I have no connection to the auction house or the museum. Just thought some of you on TMP might find the artifacts to be of interest.

Edited: After scrolling a bit more, I'm finding items from the Korean War and Vietnam War, too.

Sad that it has to end that way.

Didn't see the ship model, but there is a Maxim MG going for merely $2,500 USD at the moment.

Well, this sucks. Last night when I posted the link, you could see photos of the of auction items. All I'm seeing now is some stupid icon that looks like an orange balloon.

Sorry folks. Last night there were some really cool photos on this site. It's pretty much a waste of time now.
