Heroscape: Road to the Forgotten Forest

It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

While on holiday in France recently I managed to escape into the book section of a supermarket for a few minutes. While there I noticed a very large selection of hardcover (for want of a better description) graphic novels on many subjects, in a style very reminiscent of the Illustrated Classics. Among them was what I assume to be part of a series on Napoleon. The one I managed to get a look at was
about the 'whiff of grapeshot' period. I wasn't able to get details as I was dragged away to choose wine.
Can anyone throw any light on these books and are there any English language editions?

They are known as BDs

The first link is to a general index of BD's available past and present – probably not up to date or complete.

I think the link is to the last of 3 or 4 pages of various Historical periods.

I don't think there are English versions – for some maybe, but ,ore often not.

Google Translate might help…or French Language lessons!

I should add that I think they are great and I barely understand any French.

The second link has a search function to the right where you can type or copy and paste stuff found at the first link. The second site often has more details of individual books in a series.

To buy, I use ebay.fr mostly. Again Google translate helps.

thank you for the links. I foresee much browsing ahead.

Thank you for the links, Altfritz (though my wallet would not agree).

You're welcome!

I forgot to mention that there are also online shops from Quebec that sell some of the books. I have used Renaud Bray several times – you get free shipping at about $100 USD (maybe slightly less) – at least within Canada. Don't know about overseas. There is also a good chance of getting a bilingual help desk person.
