An interesting idea. Certainly it would make those pre-spring break weeks at the gym a lot more crowded, but it would also mean children would travel for a lot less and taking a baby would cost very little indeed.

I can see the point, though with my weight I'm not overjoyed. However, considering the amount of things people try to take along as hand luggage, a total of passenger+hold luggage+hand luggage would me more fair.

If I have to pay by my weight, they should have to give me a seat that also fits my height – i.e a seat with a head rest that extends past the base of my neck and with enough knee space that the wire from the seat pocket isn't digging into my knee caps.

I'm 6'3" 254 and my shoulders push people over that end up sitting next to me.
