Hi-- heading to Germany this summer, and have a 12 year old boy with a strong Roman interest. What sites should we consider visiting?

My first thought was the Teutoburg Forest, but I know nothing about the site. I see the Park Kalkriese museum-- is it worth visiting?

Cologne's Roman Museum is very good – especially the mosaics.

Xanten is my favourite, even in the cold and drizzle during January. The reconstructions there are very well done.

Somewhere alomg the Rhine is a memorial to Caesar's bridge.
