I just got a Razr M, and I like it a lot. It's a little smaller and quite a bit thinner than my old Droid X. It's closer in size overall to the iPhone. The M owes its thin profile to the integrated battery. I estimate battery life to be about the same as the Droid X. The processor is fast and the touch-screen responsive. So swiping through screens is a lot smoother than it was with the X. Call quality is excellent. It also comes with a data-usage app. |

I use NetCounter – seems to do the job but not tried any others. |

If you have Verizon, they have their own data monitor app. Unfortunately, it doesn't update itself automatically (stupid!). |

I have unlimited data plans on the devices which have data. No need to worry. I have tried the Verizon App, and it works, but see what Schogun said. |
