We had 7 people for Christmas. So far 5 have been confirmed as coming down with stomach flu )really gastroenteritis).
It took a ER trip for my wife – 3 bags of IV and various other IV meds. My son was first with a fairly brutal dose, but he is young and fit and after a couple of days has his appetite back.
I had a middle case- dry heaves and the other syptoms, plus chills and feeling like I was beaten by a baseball bat. I came down yesterday afternoon while at the ER. My son brought me home just in time. I am back onto regular food, but nibbling only.
I now have a fridge full of great food that looks more like a chore than opportunity. Including a full standing rib roast that did not even get roasted.

Man, that sucks. I really feel for you, being sick over Christmas, and with stomach problems no less is terrible.

My wife and I had swine flu over Christmas in 2009, which was quite awful, but neither of us ended up in the hospital.

Good luck to you and your family, and I hope you all get your appetite back before that rib roast goes to waste!

cook it and freeze it, you'll be hungary after.
