The Chinese soldiers seem to carry German equipment-helmets and grenades. Hm… Japanese equipment looks authentic. Can someone comment about this?

I think the Germans trained and equipped at least one Chinese Div.

More than one division was equipped with German helmets and they committed them against the Japanese at Shanghai and lost some of their best troops.

Four or five Chinese divisions were German-trained and used German kit. Some other divisions also received some German kit, including helmets:

All this must have happened pretty quick, like between(1933-1937), since Versailles treaty would not allow it. Hmmm..

That's exactly when it happened. They managed to get 8 divisions trained and equipped by the nazis. These were Chiang Kai-Chek's Kuomintang forces. Most Chinese troops retained their old uniforms.
