Here is a link to a nice video taken at the "Maryland My Maryland" 150th Antietam reenactment this past September. The battle shown is a scenario from one of the South Mountain actions prior to Antietam. There are some good shots of battalions firing and about halfway through a very nice view of my battalion 'firing by company' which has the odd numbered companies firing in sequence (1,3,5), followed by the even numbered companies (2,4,6). By the time the 6th company has fired, the 1st company has reloaded and fires again.
