Uk plans to rename the Territorial Army (TA) as the Army Reserve (AR). link Lets hope they don't append regional titles though –
English Army Reserve – EAR
Northern Irish Army Reserve – NIAR
Scottish Army Reserve – SAR
and the Welsh Army Reserve – WAR (presumably their cap badges would have the motto – "Huh ! What is is good for y'all ?") I guess the new name more accurately describes their intended role. |

Oh so smart. Britain, like a great many other nations is experiencing economic problems. So, of course, it's high time to do something that can't help but cost lots of money. And why? To make the Territorials feel better about themselves?
There really should have been some adults in the room when this was considered. |
