On Monday her appendix burst, they didn't know it had burst until the operation was well under way, after taking out what was left of the appendix, and flushing the stomach cavity, the put her on IV penicillin, and she came home today. She is still on antibiotic's in pill form. She is starting to run out of organs they can take out, last year it was the gall bladder, I guess next year it will be the spleen. |

The danger is always that the antibiotics don't take, as there isn't much to do about big infections if the antibiotics don't work. But they seem to work, she never got high fever, but she is also on very strong antibiotics, so strong, they can have some nasty side effects, you can't even drink alcohol until 3 days after you stopped taking them. Right now she is constipated because they had to move her intestines around, and they get, twisted and turned around. |
