temperature is supposed to be in the mid 80's and 0% chance of rain, which ruined last years Sunday confederate victory because the yankees ran off the field instead of getting wet

Could only stay for the Saturday action(@ Sharon Woods),but it went quite well. My outfit(9th Kentucky/Co. D) had the left flank on some enemy works. (Scenario being the Hornet's Nest at Shiloh)I took a hit early on(left arm/shoulder,during a road meeting engagement),but the scenario had me back up again, and I came back with a vengeance,in the front rank. Memebers of the 1st Tennessee/Co. B,& the 13th Virginia/Co.H had the frontal assault on the works, while my Kentucky crew took the left flank through some wooded area near a house. The dudes from the 6th & 34th Ohio did a fair days work too. Gotta give 'em credit. Our own unit's XO had overall command of CS forces for the event. They had tribute performers as Abe Lincoln and Jefferson Davis. A fair brass band playing. One of the corporals in my unit wants me to work on some song ideas so we can have our own unit signature number. |
